Social Media Work

I’ve been self-promoting my work from the newsroom, YouTube and podcasting for several years. By knowing how to operate each social media platform’s engagement algorithm, I’ve become an online agent of maximizing user engagement.

My first professional responsibility with social media came with the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The PawSox are moving from Pawtucket, RI to Worcester, MA by the 2021 season.

Between January and September of 2019, it was my duty to help create a strong social media presence on Twitter and Facebook for Polar Park, the new stadium in Worcester. On top of posting consistently, I mainly kept track of the user data, post performance and the follower gains among other things. By using this data and SEO (Search Engine Optimization), I was able to tailor our posts to maximize our engagement rate and help generate excitement for the Red Sox’ move to Worcester. Here’s some of our data from the first quarter of 2019:

Since baseball is still being played in Pawtucket for the next two years, I also administered the PawSox on Twitter and LinkedIn. Alongside these two, I helped facilitate the “Pawtucket Hot Wieners” promotion on its respective Twitter and Instagram accounts. Here are some of our best posts:

Since December of 2020, I’ve been administering the social media accounts for Club Champion – the nation’s No. 1 custom golf club fitter and builder. While I’ve been with the company, the total social audience has grown by over 100,000 with over 90 million impressions, over 2 million engagements, and over 1 million views on YouTube.

In 2022 alone, I helped rework the company’s YouTube channel strategy to increase subscriber rate and channel views by over 100% from 2021.
