News Stories

As a reporter for the Columbia Missourian, I covered a vast array of events from athletic competitions to the first legislative session of the Missouri Legislature in 2019. Reporting has brought me to many different places and has introduced me to many different people. I’ve had a chance to hear and tell a plethora of other peoples’ stories. During my time at the Missourian, I was also able to cover the 2019 True/False Film Festival in Columbia, MO for Vox Magazine. I reviewed Todd Douglas Miller’s APOLLO 11 found-footage documentary film and its one of the pieces I’m most proud of. Check that review out below:

The story of ‘APOLLO 11’ remains awe-inspiring 50 years later

“The three astronauts are immortalized in history regardless of Miller’s film, but APOLLO 11 gives names, faces and personalities to the once-unknown players that participated in this milestone, like those working in mission control. The film even spotlights [Michael] Collins who almost always takes the backseat in notoriety to Aldrin and Armstrong.”
